Research

I found this AD interesting because of how the ones behind it were able to show how people react to different situations. Everyone complained about the loud noises coming from the house when the man was playing the drums. One by one people appeared at the door with complaints about the drumming being too loud especially at night when they were trying to sleep. For the next exercise the man that was playing the drums played an audio that gave off a visual of a man beating on a woman in the house. Although he had the audio playing just as loud or possibly even louder than the actual drumming no one in the neighbourhood did anything. There were no complaints, no knocks on the door or even people looking out the window/standing outside. The reaction to the loud drum was more severe than the audio that helped display domestic violence.

To me it shows that some people are too afraid to stand up for themselves and especially for others. People nowadays would rather protect themselves by worrying about themselves and letting other people handle their own problems.

Director:  has the ultimate control over the creative side of a film production. They are responsible for making a film as powerful, entertaining and effective as possible. Without a skilful direction, a well-written film with an excellent cast of actors can fail.

Producer: Oversee each project from conception to completion and may also be involved in the marketing and distribution processes. Producers work closely with directors and other production staff on the shoot. Increasingly they need to have directing skills themselves as the producer may also be the director and may take care of all project operations.

Cinematographer: or director of photography is the chief over the camera and lighting crews working on a film, television production or other live action piece and is responsible for achieving artistic and technical decisions related to the image.

Gaffer: is the head of the electrical department, responsible for the execution (and sometimes the design) of the lighting plan for a production.

Production Designer: are responsible for the visual concept of a film, television or theatre production. They realise a design style for sets, locations, graphics, props, lighting, camera angles and costumes, while working closely with the director and producer.
